Teapa, a magical town as a trigger of the municipal and regional economy of the State of Tabasco
Abstract
The Secretary of Tourism of Mexico, in order to protect and preserve the customs and rituals of a region, maintains an open call for the participation of municipalities and towns that meet certain requirements to become Magical Towns. The general objective of this research was to describe the conditions and actions carried out to obtain this distinction. Teapa, one of the 17 municipalities that make up the state of Tabasco Mexico. It took on the task of transcending time when its authorities considered that it meets the characteristics to become a Magical Town. The design of the study was not experimental, transactional and descriptive because its objective was to characterize the phenomenon in order to generate the actions that gave rise to obtaining the name and as with this, the economy of the population is transformed and attracts tourism. Both local and international. The results of this research show evidence of how it has led to improvements in the economy. It is generally concluded that the main factors obtained were the increase in tourism, as well as making its gastronomy and places of interest known.
