LOCAL TOURISM AND ITS IMPACT ON THE ECONOMY OF COMALCALCO TABASCO POST-COVID-19: A GENDER PERSPECTIVE
Abstract
This paper analyzes local tourism, specifically in the city of Comalcalco in the municipality of the state of Tabasco, which boasts a cultural heritage such as the pyramid created by the Mayan culture and the main cocoa and chocolate haciendas, as well as its delicious cuisine. The objective of this study is to show indicators and their impact on the economy of the cultural and gastronomic tourism sector after the Covid-19 pandemic, with a gender perspective. This analysis was developed through the documentary method with an exploratory and descriptive design using secondary information sources. The results show that local tourism (gastronomic and cultural) in this municipality has a history and culture that provides its natural wealth and is constantly increasing, improving the local economy.
