Analysis of the economic and sustainable project: mayan train for the tourist área of south-southeast Mexico

The objective is the construction of a tourist, passenger and freight train, which will connect five states in the southeast of the country: Tabasco, Campeche, Chiapas, Yucatán and Quintana Roo. So far, 1,500 kilometers of route have been projected - approximately - and 17 stations: Palenque, Tenosique, Escárcega, Calakmul, Xpujil, Bacalar, FC Puerto, Tulum, Playa del Carmen, Puerto Morelos, Cancun, Valladolid, Chichen Itza, Izamal, Mérida, Maxcanú and Campeche. Three sections of the route are contemplated: the one of jungle that is approximately 426 kilometers, the one of Caribbean with 446 kilometers and the one of Gulf, which will have 653 kilometers. It will begin with an investment of 16 billion pesos. The overall investment of the entire project, both public and private, will be approximately 150 billion pesos and is projected to be completed no later than four years. Among the benefits that have been announced by Andrés Manuel López Obrador, president of Mexico. It is the strengthening of the tourist areas of each zone; reactivation of the economy, both locally and regionally; international tourism boost for the southeast zone of Mexico; Tax facilities for investors; cheaper ticket for the inhabitants of these states; development in the field of services and marketing of products in the area; investment attraction for the tourist area; integration of communities and dissemination of Mayan culture to the rest of the country in the world. There are areas inhabited mainly by indigenous people, farmers and winners. So, what real benefits will it bring to this sector.
